Pawandeep Rajan wins Indian Idol 12
Kathmandu, Aug 16. Pawandeep Rajan has been declared as the winner of the twelfth season of Indian Idol. He was awarded with a Maruti Suzuki Swift car and INR 25 lakhs.
Pawandeep hails from Uttarakhand and revealed that he is overwhelmed and fortunate. He said, “I am overwhelmed and feel so fortunate. This is a responsibility and I will ensure to take the glory ahead. This has made me more confident to work harder. I was so nervous during the audition, I thought I would not even get selected. But the journey was nice. I learnt a lot from the judges, the team. ‘Indian Idol’ acted as a bridge to my dreams. I hope the fans continue to shower me with love”.
The season was judged by Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya and Sonu Kakkar. The 12-hour finale was announced as “The Greatest Finale Ever” and was aired on Sony TV. Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble was declared as the runner-ups. They were awarded INR 5 lakhs each.
Nihal Tauro, Mohd Danish and Sanmukhapriya was also part of the top 6 in the finale.
