Kathmandu, November 1. After a two-year interruption owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Nepal-India bus service has resumed from Sunday.

Bheri Transport Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Nepalgunj, has been providing the Nepal-India passenger-friendly transport service from Nepalgunj to the Indian capital Delhi, the Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow, Dehradun, and Haridwar.

Rajendra Giri, Chairperson of Bheri Transport Pvt Ltd, stated that the Nepal-India passenger-friendly bus service was relaunched on Sunday with the approval for cross-border vehicular operation.

The pandemic-caused shutdown of bus services resulted in significant financial losses for transport companies. The restoration of bus service has made it cheaper for Nepalis to travel to Indian towns such as Delhi, Dehradun, and Haridwar.
