Nepal-Bhutan Cultural Event at University of Texas, El Paso

Kathmandu, November 23. On Friday, the Nepalese Student Association and the Bhutanese Student Association collectively organized a cultural event at the University of Texas at El Paso.

The Nepal-Bhutan Cultural Event is a casual entertainment show in which students from both two South Asian countries showcase the cultural dances and musical pieces, flavors from their home countries.

Friday’s event was held in the Templeton Suite Hall of the University. The event officially began with the national anthems of the USA, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Bhutanese members performed welcome dance, and Paras Mandal, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computational Engineering, gave a speech.

The presidents of the NSA and BSA, Jagadish Paudel and Sherab Dolma, gave side-by-side presentations on Nepal and Bhutan. NSA Secretary Shankar Paudel and the team gave a series of musical acts.

There were also a few fun games for the audience, including musical chairs and charades.
