Indian Army presents five “mobile workshop vehicles” to the Nepali Army

Kathmandu, November 26. With the objective of strengthening the cooperation between the neighbouring defence forces, the Indian Army has presented Workshop vehicles as gifts to the Nepali Army.

During a brief ceremony held at Nepali Army Headquarters on Thursday, Colonel Amit Sharma on behalf of the Indian Army – Defence Attaché of India, handed over five units of TATA LPTA 1628 Workshop Trucks to NA Brigadier General Krishna Dev Bhatta.

Through an official statement, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu announced, “These workshop trucks which act as a compact mobile workshop will be instrumental in ensuring smooth and uninterrupted functionality of Nepali Army transport fleet.”

The gift-giving ceremony took place shortly after Nepali COAS General Prabhu Ram Sharma’s visit to India. The major highlight of Sharma’s visit to India was to receive the rank of “honorary General of the Indian Army” from the President of India. (read more)
