Air Arabia, Fly Dubai to run commercial flights from Bhairahawa
Kathmandu, June 20. United Arab Emirates(UAE) based airliners Air Arabia and the Fly Dubai are preparing to launch commercial flights from Nepal’s second international airport in Bhairahawa.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the airline operators have filed applications to conduct regular flights from the newly opened Gautam Buddha International airport.
“The companies have expressed interest for getting connected within the next two weeks,” CAAN director-general Pradip Adhikari told reporters.
Adhikari further said that Bhairahawa’s airport has a high demand for flights to countries where Nepali migrant workers seek jobs.
Only Jazeera Airways has operated international flights from Bhairahawa to date. Three direct flights to Kuwait are operated three times a week.
