Kathmandu, June 29. The area around Janakpur’s Janaki mandir has been waterlogged due to incessant rain since last two days
Deputy mayor of Janakpurdham, Kishori Shah told reporters that the entire settlement in ward number-10 has submerged into water, the reason for which must be “improper management of the drain outlet system.”
Torrential downpours began on Monday. By Wednesday, buildings of the major government offices including the District Administration Office, District Police, Internal Revenue and postal office were already submerged under water.
Meanwhile, local residents in the area have been asked to be alert of the water levels in the nearby rivers.
