Birgunj: Holding centre of 22 buildings, 1000 bed at its final stage of construction

Kathmandu, July 30. The COVID-19 Holding Centre in Birgunj has reached the final stage of its construction process.

At the cost of Rs 28 crores, Hanuman Construction is building the holding centre in an area of 2 bighas of land near the Birgunj border Customs Office.

The centre has 13 kitchens, 22 toilets, and 22 quarantine buildings. “We have already installed all of the 1000 beds in the centre. Now, we are currently setting up oxygen systems on the beds,” Construction incharge Bishal Dahal told reporters.

The Nepali Army will be in charge of the centre once construction is finished.
