Half of COVID patients in Sudurpaschim are India returnees
Kathmandu, August 2. Sudurpaschim Province has recorded 50 new cases of coronavirus infections on Tuesday. The Sudurpaschim Province Health Directorate said that 24 individuals out of 50 infected ones are India-returnees.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 689 persons were tested to confirm the infection.
The Directorate said among those COVID-19 infected patients, 19 arrived home through Gaddachauki point, three from Gauriphanta and two from Jhulaghat border point.
Likewise, other infected are 11 in Kailali and 15 in Kanchanpur.
Health desks have been established in the border points to test those returning from India.
Chief of Health Office, Baitadi, Yogesh Prasad Bhatta said antigen test is assured to all the India returnees. (RSS)
