Kathmandu, October 12. US President Biden has said there will be ‘consequences’ for Saudi Arabia as Saudi led-OPEC alliance announced cuts in its oil production.

The decision has displeased US and Biden revealed that he is rethinking the US-Saudi Arabia relations. He said, “There’s going to be some consequences for what they’ve done, with Russia. I’m not going to get into what I’d consider and what I have in mind. But there will be — there will be consequences.”

Further, the decision comes months after Biden went to Saudi Arabia for a visit.

Sen. Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, said it was unacceptable of OPEC+ to cut down oil production and pledged to block arm sales with Saudi Arabia.
