Good news for Nepali workers abroad: Free tele-medicine services from Wednesday

Kathmandu, March 28. On Monday, the Foreign Employment Board announced that the government is launching free telemedicine services to migrant Nepali workers on foreign lands.

Board spokesperson Rajan Poudel informed reporters that the service will be provided starting March 29 and aims to offer timely medical advice and consultation to address the health problems faced by Nepali migrant workers abroad. 

He further explained that the workers can call mobile numbers 9851345701 and 9851345702 on Viber and, Whatsapp. The service will be available during office hours as per Nepal time, except on public holidays.

“The prescription for the service-seeker will be sent online, and the Board will bear all expenses for the service,” Poudel noted.
