Kathmandu, July 17 : Sita Sapkota has emerged victorious as the new Chairperson of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) National Coordination Council (NCC) Belgium.
In a closely contested election on Sunday, Sapkota competed against Anuja Pradhan and Tirtha Dhamala for the leadership position. Sapkota secured an impressive 1,112 votes, earning her the post for the next tenure (2023-2025), according to reliable NRNA sources.
Notably, Sita Sapkota had previously held the position of President at the Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, Belgium chapter, showcasing her experience in community leadership. She also serves as a Mahasamiti member of the Nepali Congress. (RSS)
