Nepal Drops in FIFA Rankings, India Also Sees a Decline

Kathmandu, Apr 4: FIFA, the global governing body of football, has released its latest rankings, showing Nepal dropping three places to 178th position from its previous rank of 175th. Similarly, neighboring country India has also experienced a decline, falling four places to 121st position.

Among other South Asian nations, Maldives ranks 161st, Myanmar dropped one place to 163rd, Bangladesh is at 184th, Bhutan at 185th, Pakistan at 195th, and Sri Lanka at 204th.

At the top of the FIFA rankings, Argentina maintains its position, followed by France in second place, and Belgium climbing one spot to third place. England slipped to fourth place, while Brazil holds fifth place. Portugal moved up one place to sixth, with the Netherlands dropping to seventh.

The rest of the top ten FIFA rankings include Spain at eighth place, Italy at ninth, and Croatia at tenth.

These rankings reflect the current standings of national football teams worldwide and are closely followed by football enthusiasts and analysts to gauge the performance and progress of different teams on the global stage.
