Liquor Sale Ban Imposed in Ilam-2 Ahead of By-Election
Mangalbarey, Apr 13: In preparation for the upcoming by-election for the House of Representatives in Ilam-2, authorities have implemented a ban on the sale and distribution of liquor. Indradev Yadav, the Chief District Officer of Ilam, announced that the District Administration Office has enforced this prohibition from the 2nd of Baisakh until the conclusion of the vote counting on the 15th of Baisakh.
The ban on alcohol sale, distribution, and consumption aims to maintain peace and security during the pre-election, election, and post-election periods. A notification issued by the district administration office warns of legal consequences for anyone found violating the prohibition.
Residents of Ilam-2 are urged to cooperate with this measure, which prioritizes peace and security in the region during the electoral process.
