Kuwait, Jun 12: At least 41 people have died following a fire that broke out in a residential building in Mangaf, Kuwait. The fire erupted on Wednesday morning, sending thick black smoke billowing from the windows of the large building.

The building primarily housed migrant workers. Among the deceased are five Indian nationals. The Indian ambassador has arrived at the scene, and the Indian Embassy has issued a helpline number to support the victims’ families.

Kuwait’s Interior Minister Fahad Yusuf Al Sabah visited the site of the incident. Reports from Kuwaiti media indicate that the building was overcrowded, contributing to the high casualty rate.
