India Clinches Second Consecutive Victory in Women’s Asia Cup

Kathmandu, Jul 21: India secured their second consecutive victory in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup by defeating UAE by 78 runs in a Group A match held on Sunday.

India set a target of 202 runs, scoring 201 for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, UAE managed to score only 123 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs, falling significantly short of the target.

This victory follows India’s earlier win against Pakistan in their first match of the tournament. Conversely, UAE has now suffered two consecutive defeats, having lost to Nepal in their opening match.

Looking ahead, India will play against Nepal in their final group stage match on Tuesday, while UAE is set to face Pakistan on the same day. These matches will determine the standings and advancement of the teams in the tournament.
