Sourya Air Flight Crashes at Tribhuvan International Airport, Eighteen Dead

Kathmandu, Jul 24: A tragic accident occurred when a 9N AME flight of Sourya Air, en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara, crashed shortly after takeoff. The plane plummeted into a ditch on the eastern side of the runway at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Senior Superintendent of Police Dumbar Vick confirmed that the bodies of 18 people on board were recovered from the crash site. The remains were scattered around the area, and efforts are now underway to transport them to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for further procedures. Superintendent of Police Vick also mentioned that one of the crew members survived and was rescued from the wreckage.

The flight was carrying employees and technicians intended to repair a Solar Air aircraft in Pokhara. Due to the incident, domestic flights at the airport have been significantly affected, leading to disruptions in the schedule.
