Increase in Foreign Tourist Arrivals in Nepal by 21.22% in First Seven Months of 2024
Kathmandu, Aug 1: The number of foreign tourists visiting Nepal has increased by 21.22 percent in the first seven months of 2024. According to the Nepal Tourism Board, 647,615 foreign tourists visited Nepal by July this year, compared to 534,207 during the same period last year.
Monthly Breakdown of Tourist Arrivals in 2024:
– January: 79,100 tourists
– February: 97,426 tourists
– March: 128,167 tourists
– April: 111,376 tourists
– May: 90,211 tourists
– June: 76,736 tourists
– July: 64,599 tourists
July Sees a 12% Increase in Tourist Arrivals
In July 2024, there was an almost 12 percent increase in the number of foreign tourists. The Nepal Tourism Board reported an 11.9 percent rise compared to July last year. In July this year, 64,599 foreign tourists arrived, while the number was 57,726 during the same period last year.
