Kathmandu, Dec 23: The Israeli military has launched another series of airstrikes targeting Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, resulting in significant casualties.

The Nussirat refugee camp in central Gaza was heavily bombed, killing at least 25 people. In a separate attack on an apartment, eight Palestinians lost their lives. Numerous others sustained injuries and have been hospitalized.

Israel claimed the strike on the apartment was due to intelligence reports suggesting the presence of Hamas fighters. However, Palestinian health officials reported that all fatalities were civilians, with a total of 33 lives lost in the Israeli attacks across the region.

According to Reuters, Israel has escalated its airstrikes in Gaza amid ongoing international negotiations for a ceasefire. Qatar and Egypt are mediating talks to end the year-long bombardment, while the US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor are currently visiting Israel to discuss the situation.
