Nepal Faces Second Consecutive Defeat in Women’s T20 Series
Kathmandu, Feb 1: Nepal suffered their second consecutive loss in the Triangular Women’s T20 International Series, falling to Thailand by four wickets at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground.
Chasing Nepal’s target of 102 runs, Thailand reached 103/6 in 19 overs. Nannapat Koncharoenkai led Thailand’s innings with an unbeaten 60 off 58 balls, hitting six fours.
For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay took two wickets, while Kavita Kunwar and Bindu Rawal contributed 25 runs each. Captain Indu Barma added 15 runs, but other batters struggled to reach double digits. Nepal managed 101/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Thipatcha Putthawong was the standout bowler for Thailand, taking three wickets. Phannita Maya and Nattaya Boochatham claimed two wickets each, while Chanida Sutthiruang grabbed one.
Nepal had previously lost their opening match against the Netherlands by 20 runs.
