Kathmandu, Feb 4: Britain’s Prince Edward arrived in Nepal on Tuesday for a week-long private visit after concluding his trip to India.
He landed in Kathmandu from Delhi in the afternoon and was received by Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai at Tribhuvan International Airport. Prince Edward is scheduled to meet President Ram Chandra Poudel later in the evening.
Princess Sophia also arrived in Nepal earlier on Tuesday morning from London.
During their stay, the royal couple will visit schools and hospitals in Kathmandu before traveling to Pokhara.
They are set to return home next Sunday.
