Kathmandu, April 21: China’s Commerce Ministry has issued a strong warning, stating it will oppose any trade agreements between the United States and other countries that may harm China’s interests.

The ministry emphasized that “appeasement will not ensure peace” and declared China is prepared to take strong retaliatory action if necessary.

This statement follows reports suggesting the US may pressure other nations to curb trade with China in return for tariff exemptions.

The tensions come amid an ongoing tariff war between the two global powers, triggered by US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on Chinese goods. China’s latest remarks highlight its stance against what it calls unilateral trade policies and its readiness to respond with equal force.
