Brazilian Football Legend Roberto Carlos Arrives in Nepal for NSL

Kathmandu, April 22: World Cup-winning Brazilian footballer Roberto Carlos arrived in Nepal on Tuesday morning to attend the ongoing third season of the Nepal Super League (NSL).

According to the Nepal Sports and Event Management (NSEM), Carlos landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 8:15 AM. He is set to watch the second qualifier match between Dhangadhi FC and Pokhara Thunders on Wednesday.

Carlos was initially scheduled to arrive last Friday, but his visit was postponed due to health reasons.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders in football history, the 51-year-old Roberto Carlos played for Brazil from 1992 to 2006, and was a key figure in Brazil’s 2002 FIFA World Cup victory.
