New Nepal Cricket Coach Stuart Lale Vows to Focus on World Cup Return

Kathmandu, April 26: Newly appointed Nepal national cricket team coach Stuart Lale has expressed his excitement at joining Nepal, saying he was inspired by the young talent in the country.
Speaking at Mulpani Cricket Ground on Saturday, Lale said his main focus would be to lead Nepal back to the World Cup. He praised Nepal’s professional cricket structure and training facilities, adding that the key will be to provide clarity in players’ roles rather than making major changes.
Meanwhile, Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka emphasized that the coach should prioritize ODI performance standards without overburdening the players. Khadka also stressed CAN’s commitment to laying a strong foundation for Nepali cricket’s future.
Coach Stuart Lale officially took charge on Saturday and has already started training sessions with the national team, who are preparing for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 series in Scotland this June.
