Mumbai, May 8: Bollywood fans are in for a nostalgic treat as two iconic films, ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Dhadkan’, are set to re-release in theaters this May.

Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee’s romantic comedy ‘Hum Tum’ will return to theaters on May 16, 2025, nearly two weeks before its 21st anniversary. Directed by Kunal Kohli, the film was originally released on May 28, 2004, and is remembered for its unique portrayal of modern relationships and a beloved soundtrack.

A week later, on May 23, ‘Dhadkan’, starring Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, and Sunil Shetty, will also hit the big screen again. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan and produced by Ratan Jain, the film first released in 2000 and became a hit for its emotional storyline and chart-topping music. The re-release comes ahead of its 25th anniversary in August.

Though the re-releases have sparked excitement among fans, industry insiders predict a box office clash between the two stars. As Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are also set to appear together in a future project after 17 years, the audience will see them competing indirectly at the box office, with one film possibly affecting the other’s earnings.
