RSP Leader Sagar Dhakal Announces Candidacy from Gulmi-1

Kathmandu, Jan 19: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Sagar Dhakal has announced his candidacy for the House of Representatives from Gulmi-1 in the upcoming elections.

Dhakal made the announcement through a post on social media platform Facebook, stating that he will contest from Gulmi-1.

Describing Gulmi and surrounding districts as the “intellectual power center of Nepal,” Dhakal said the district’s potential should be utilized for the country’s overall transformation. He cited India’s Gujarat state as an example and claimed that Nepal’s development could follow a “Gulmi–Gujarat model.”

According to Dhakal, Gulmi has historically played a strong role in public service, and intelligence, honesty and excellence are inherent qualities of its society. He said this capacity should now be mobilized to drive national development over the next 25 years.

Dhakal said his main agendas will be ensuring a stable government, reforming the administrative system and developing long-term political leadership. He added that for the first time in history, the government has set a goal of maintaining a single prime minister for five years and addressing bureaucratic inefficiencies.

Expressing confidence in his prospects, Dhakal claimed that Gulmi would deliver the biggest victory among the country’s 165 constituencies in the upcoming elections. He also said the political influence of Gulmi would extend to neighboring districts including Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Syangja, Baglung and Pyuthan.
