Kathmandu, Jan 12. The Supreme Court has quashed the writ petition filed against the decision of the government to enforce a new curriculum in school education.

With this, Social Studies and Lifeskills education will be implemented in Grade 11 from the current fiscal year. An order to this end was handed down by justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana.

The order comes in response to a writ petition by Bhagwata Aryal October 14, calling for a halt to the decision of the curriculum development centre to enforce the new curriculum from the current academic year. The new curriculum was introduced as per ‘National Curriculum Framework of School Education, 2076 B.S.’ (RSS)
