Business Association announces phase agitation against the Department of Foreign Employment

Kathmandu, January 22. Business Association has announced a phased agitation against the Department of Foreign Employment. The association had stated that the department has adopted a working style of improper control rather than business reform, the association has formally announced through a press releases a phased agitation from next Sunday.

They stated that the notice recently made public by the Department of Foreign Employment has created difficulties to them so for that they want such issues should be resolved immediately.

In the public notice such as manpower companies are not allowed to keep passports of workers going for foreign employment, permission to operate branch offices of manpower companies, operation of Foreign Employment Entrepreneur fund, problems in the foreign employment information system, sending domestic workers and trainee workers to Japan.

Business Association president Bishnu Prasad Gaire said that the Department of Foreign Employment had adopted a control-oriented attitude without fulfilling its commitment for improvement in the past when it had to raise the morale of entrepreneurs by bringing improvement and relief programs for the business collapse due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
