Minor blast near Israeli Embassy in Delhi; Envelope recovered from blast site
The explosion occurred exactly 29 years from the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Israel and India.

Kathmandu, January 30. A minor explosive device was detonated near the Israeli Embassy in Central Delhi at around 5 pm on Friday. Windows of 3 cars were shattered and no injuries had been reported.
According to Delhi Police spokesperson Anil Mittal informed “A very low intensity improvised device went off on the Abdul Kalam road. No injury to any person was reported… nor was there any damage to property, except the glass panes of three vehicles parked nearby.”
According to a media report, the blast had occurred in the high-security zone 1.4 km away from Vijaya Chowk, where President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior government members had gathered for a Retreat ceremony.
Shortly after the explosion, A letter was discovered near the site of the explosion. The envelope entitled “Israeli Ambassador” is currently under the forensic examination.
Israeli ambassador Ron Malka said that the explosion occurred exactly 29 years from the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Israel and India.
