Taj Mahal shut for a brief time after fake bomb call

Kathmandu, March 4. Taj Mahal, a popular tourist destination in Agra, India was shut down for 30 minutes after a hoax bomb call was made to the Uttar Pradesh police.

The caller had said that there were problems in the army recruitment and he was not recruited for it, adding that there was a bomb placed at Taj Mahal which could explode soon.

The security forces then investigated the site and no bomb was to be found. The hoax call was made around 9 am from Firozabad district, which lies 50kms from Agra. The investigation teams have been dispersed to find the caller.

Taj Mahal was opened after all security forces and bomb disposal team did not find any bomb and declared the place safe to be entered.
