Twitter CEO auctions first tweet as digital memorabilia

Kathmandu, March 7. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has auctioned his first ever tweet that he made on his social networking platform, Twitter.

The tweet- “just setting up my twttr” was on sale on ‘Valuables by Cent’, a tweet marketplace. The highest bid was placed at $2 million, placed by cryptocurrency pioneer Justin Sun.

The fifteen-year old post was one of the famous posts on Twitter that attracted a large number of bidders within minutes of being up for sale as a digital memorabilia.

According to the Valuables website, an autographed digital certificate signed using cryptography and metadata of the original tweet will be provided to the tweet’s buyer while the tweet will remain on the website.
