Bagmati: Chief minister orders district hospitals to setup oxygen plants
Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel has directed the hospitals in all the13 districts of the Province to install oxygen plant at the earliest for facilitating in the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The Chief Minister issued this directive during a virtual meeting on Sunday evening with the Chief District Officer, the Chief of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) and the Chiefs of the local levels of the 13 districts of the province.
He urged every hospital to provide treatment according high priority to Covid-19 patients and the local administrations and DCC chiefs to move ahead collaboratively by establishing coordination between them. CM Poudel declared that the Province government has already allocated the budget for installing the oxygen plants and making the required management.
He also called on the local levels to mobilise the human resources to aware the local community to improve their habits and strictly follow the health safety protocols. Minister for Social Development Saraswati Basnet shared that her ministry has prepared and implemented policy and programme for launching door-to-door visit campaign for spreading health awareness against the pandemic by the local levels in each settlement in every district of the province. Also participating in the virtual dialogue were Minister of State for Social Development Dr Ram Kumar Adhikari, Ministry Secretary Yagya Prasad Dhungel and spokesperson Dr Purushottam Raj Sedhain.
They said that the province government has been providing oxygen cylinders and medical staff including doctors and nurses to the district hospital of all 13 districts. The province government has also made arrangements for managing ICU wards and ventilator wards at the district hospital in all the 13 districts of the province.
