After injuring ten people with knife in Tokyo train, man arrested

Kathmandu, August 7. A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Tokyo, who had stabbed ten people with a knife in a Tokyo train.

According to the police, the incident is unrelated to the ongoing Olympics. The man confessed to the police that he chose his targets at random and killed women who appeared to be happy. The man has been identified as Yusuke Tsushima.

Nine of the ten victims were taken to nearby hospitals while one could walk away, as revealed by the Tokyo Fire Department.

The suspect then fled to a convenience store where he identified himself as a suspect in the news. While he said he was tired of fleeing, it is said that the shopkeeper called the police after seeing bloodstains on his shirt.

The police has also revealed that the man was carrying oil and a lighter, with the intent to burn down the carriage.

According to witnesses, people were coming out stained from the train asking for first aid while paramedics were rushed to the spot. The stabbing occurred near Seijogakuen station, according to railway operator Odakyu Electric Railway Co.
