Kathmandu, December 22. The Taliban administration of Kabul has put a ban on the use of images of women on commercial and fashion hoarding boards in the city.

Kabul municipal corporation’s spokesperson, Nematullah Barakzai officially made an announcement on Thursday to remove all posters featuring women. He stated that depicting women in public promotional materials is prohibited by Islamic law.

According to local media sources, the owners of women’s beauty salons have asked the government not to implement limitations that would throw their businesses out of the market.

International organizations have defined this act of Taliban as a step toward the marginalization of women in Islamic society.
