18 crore tax evasion suit filed against businesses in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, February 4. The Department of Revenue Investigation on Friday filed a 18.3 crore tax evasion suit against four people in Patan High Court.
The department has issued an official notice which demands the imprisonment of four individuals:
- Chandra Bahadur Adhikari (Owner of Bring Media Distribution Pvt Ltd)
- Anjali Arora (Owner of Jupiter Media Distribution Pvt Ltd – authorized dealer of Star India Pvt Ltd)
- Surendra Chhetri (Manager of Bring Media Distribution Pvt Ltd)
- Suman Chhetri (Manager of Bring Media Distribution Pvt Ltd)
The investigation department has ordered the businesses to pay a fine amount that is equal to the loss incurred by the department during the recovery.
