Ukrainian president says that they are defending alone, Indian PM Modi talks with Putin
Kathmandu, February 25. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that they have been left alone to fight against the Russian invasion. He also criticized the West for not coming for their aid.
He said, “Who is ready to fight alongside us? I don’t see anyone. Who is ready to give Ukraine a guarantee of NATO membership? Everyone is afraid.”
A full scale invasion in Ukraine has taken place on the second day on Thursday. It has killed dozens and displaced many others.
Even after sanctions from many countries around the world, it did not stop Russia from invading Ukraine. President Zelenskyy said, “We’re defending our country alone. The most powerful forces in the world are watching this from a distance. Did yesterday’s sanctions impress Russia? We hear in the sky above us and on our land that it’s not enough.”
He further added that their first target was him and second was his family
Indian PM Modi speaks with Putin
Indian prime minister Narendra Modi on Thursday has spoke to Russian president Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. He called for the termination of violence in Ukraine.
He also has requested Putin to return through the method of dialogue.
Martial law has been declared in Ukraine, as Russian military launched strikes in the region.
