Talks between Ukraine and Russia begin at the Belarusian border
Ukrainian president Zelenskyy requests to fast track EU membership
Kathmandu, February 28. Talks between Russia and Ukraine was held at the Belarusian border today. Ukrainian president’s advisor revealed to news agency Reuters that Kyviv and Moscow have started the high level talks.
The main aim of talks for Ukraine is to call for ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine.
The military attacks from Russia on Ukraine has reached day five, killing hundreds of civilians. Many people have already fled the country.
Ukrainian president Zelenskyy has said that the next 24 hours are crucial for Ukraine.
Ukrainian president requests to fast track EU membership
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday has asked for membership to the European Union under special procedure.
“Our goal is to be with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be equal. I’m sure that’s fair. I am sure we deserve it”, he said in a video shared in social media.
