Ukraine and Russia agree to open six humanitarian corridors

Kathmandu, March 9. Russia and Ukraine have agreed to open six humanitarian corridors for the safe evacuation of civilians on Wednesday.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk confirmed that both the sides has agreed for ceasefire for 24 hours. The ceasefire will start from 9:00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) to 9:00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT) on Wednesday.

Civilians will be evacuated from six places that includes Energodar town in southern Ukraine, Sumy city in the northeastern part of the country, Mariupol, Izum and Volnovakha cities in eastern Ukraine and seven cities and towns around Kiev.
