Mumbai. Indian singer SP Balasubrahmanyam died Friday afternoon at MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai, India. He was 74 and had been admitted in the hospital since August 5, testing positive for Covid-19.
He was a winner of six national awards and is being mourned by fans all over India and around the world. As the news broke out, the Indian film fraternity tweeted their condolences. Prime Minister Modi also grieved the loss of the legendary singer. One of the things he was known for was providing his voice for many of Salman Khan’s songs and establishing the actor in Bollywood through his songs.
He held a Guinness World Record for singing over 40,000 songs in around 16 languages.
