Train services between India and Bangladesh resume after two years

Kathmandu, May 29. Train services between India and Bangladesh resumed after a gap of two years. The services resumed Sunday after being halted due to the pandemic.

The Bandhan express train from Kolkata in India and Khulna of Bangladesh will run twice a week. People from both countries are happy with the resumption of services. The train service are reportedly fully booked for the next few days.

Further, Maitree Express, linking Kolkata and Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka is expected to resume soon.

Moreover, another train service, Mitali express will also start operations from June 1. It links New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, India and Dhaka in Bangladesh.
