Industrial meet kicks off in Madhesh Province
Kathmandu, August 2. An industrial meet of the Madhes Province has been organised here for the first time after the formation of the province government. The industrial meet has been held in collaboration with Skills Enhancement for Employment Project (SEEP).
Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Lal Babu Raut, Province government finance minister Shailendra Prasad Saha, province minister for land management, agriculture and cooperatives Bijaya Yadav, province minister for industry, tourism and forests Shatrughan Mahato, British ambassador to Nepal Nicola Pollitt, chief secretary of Madhes province government Krishna Bahadur Raut are attending the event.
Some 100 industrialists from the province are participating in the province-level industrial meet that concludes on Wednesday. Group and thematic discussions will be held regarding the steps to be taken for economic growth in the coming days. The meet will also review the progress of economic growth and reform measures to be undertaken in the days ahead.
On the occasion, the Province government has awarded 23 industries contributing to enhancing employment and economic growth of the province. (RSS)
