Kathmandu, October 21. Giorgia Meloni is set to become the prime minister of Italy on Friday after her party’s historic win. She will be the first woman to head the Italian government.
Her Brothers of Italy party won the elections, but needs outside support to form a government.
Further, Meloni tweeted, “We are ready to give Italy a government which will face the emergencies and the challenges of our time with awareness and competence.”
Her party won 26 percent of votes last month. Her appointment is historic as her party has never been in the government. Moreover, if she is able to get support of her allies; she is likely to be sworn this weekend.
