Nearly half a million students appear for SEE exams in Nepal
Kathmandu, March 31. The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has commenced across Nepal today, with a total of 484,227 students taking their exams. The first day of the exam saw students taking compulsory English, Nepali, and Sanskrit language and literature papers.
The SEE Examinations Controller Bishnu Narayan Shrestha informed reporters that 516,591 students registered for the exam. Almost 22 percent of the total examinees are from Bagmati province. Karnali Province has the lowest number of examinees.
“For these students, a total number of 2,037 examination centers have been designated, including one center in Japan. The center in Japan is facilitating 14 students,” Shrestha said.
Shrestha further said that students from 11,829 schools, including 7,200 community schools and 4,564 private institutions are appearing on the examination.
