Farmers Rewarded for Dedication to Commercial Farming in Dailekh
Dailekh, July 14: The Agriculture Development Office has recognized and rewarded farmers for their dedication to commercial farming in Dailekh.
While speaking at the event, Acting Chief of Agriculture Development Office, Dasharath Pandey, shared that a total of 50 selected commercial farmers from across the district were honored with cash prizes as part of the incentive grant program. He further emphasized that such recognition and honor bestowed upon the farmers aims to promote farming and ensure the dignity of this occupation.
Pandey noted that four farmers were awarded Rs 20,000 each, while five others received Rs 10,000 each. Additionally, 14 other farmers were presented with Rs 15,000 each as a token of appreciation for their commercial farming efforts.
He further stated that the Agriculture Development Office has been annually rewarding farmers as a means to further promote commercial farming in the region.
Sagar Shahi, a farmer from Chamunda Bindrasaini-7, expressed his gratitude for receiving the prize, stating that it has brought him additional responsibilities and excitement in his occupation. He said, “The production-based incentives enhance dedication towards farming,” emphasizing that such programs contribute to making farmers self-reliant by increasing agricultural production.
