Tragic Landslide Claims Life of Child, Leaves Three Missing in Dolakha
Dolakha, Aug 4: A tragic landslide in Dolakha district on Thursday night resulted in the death of a child, while three others are reported missing. The deceased has been identified as the 15-month-old grandson of Yagya Bahadur Thami from Topatar in Gaurishankar rural municipality-7.
According to Chief District Officer Kamal Prasad Dhamala, the rain-triggered landslide wreaked havoc in Gaurishankar rural municipality-8, causing significant damage in Gaurishankar rural municipality-7.
Among those missing are Hari Lal Shrestha, Krishna Bahadur Magar, and his wife from Gaurishankar-7. The landslide incident has also left three individuals injured.
In response to the situation, authorities have dispatched a helicopter to the incident site to conduct a search and rescue operation for the missing individuals.
