Kathmandu, Nov 6: Kushal Bhurtel, the Nepali national team’s opening batsman, has been recognized as the best batsman in the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier held in Kathmandu. He scored 185 runs during the tournament, helping Nepal secure the runner-up position with one half-century in five matches.
Additionally, Gulsan Jha was awarded the title of the best Nepali player in the series and received a motorcycle as his prize. Oman’s Bilal Khan was honored as the best bowler for taking 11 wickets, contributing to Oman’s qualification victory.
Oman’s Aqib Ilyas, an all-rounder, was named the best player of the tournament. Ilyas scored 106 runs and took 10 wickets during the event.
