Earthquake Strikes Bajura District: Epicenter Near Jugada
Kathmandu, Mar 11: The tranquility of Bajura district was interrupted today as an earthquake rattled the region, with its epicenter located near Jugada.
According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center in Lanchaur, the seismic event registered a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale. The earthquake struck at 4:57 PM local time, sending tremors through the area surrounding Jugada in Bajura district.
This earthquake adds to a series of seismic activities observed in the western region of Nepal in recent times. The Himalayan region, including Bajura district, is known to be susceptible to earthquakes, owing to its location within an earthquake-prone zone.
