UN Approves Resolution Demanding Russia Withdraw from Ukraine

Kathmandu, Feb 25: The United Nations approved a resolution on Monday that calls for Russia to immediately leave Ukrainian territory. The motion received 93 votes in favor and 18 against, with 65 countries participating in the vote.

Major European countries such as Germany, Britain, and France supported the proposal, and Nepal also voted in favor. Russia, along with the United States, Israel, and Hungary, voted against it.

This resolution comes on the third anniversary of Russia’s war with Ukraine. Nepal’s neighbors, including India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, took part in the vote at the United Nations.
