Trump Praises India and Pakistan for Ceasefire Decision
Kathmandu, May 11: Former US President Donald Trump has praised India and Pakistan for agreeing to maintain a ceasefire, calling it a wise and courageous move that averted a major humanitarian crisis.
In a statement shared on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump commended the “strong and determined leadership” of both nations, emphasizing that their decision to stop the conflict prevented the loss of millions of innocent lives.
Trump stated he was proud of the role the United States played in helping both countries reach what he called a “historic decision”. He also expressed hope for enhanced trade relations with both India and Pakistan moving forward.
Additionally, he called on both countries to find a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue, urging continued diplomatic efforts.
