Carlos Alcaraz Wins Second Consecutive French Open in Historic Final

Kathmandu, June 9: Young Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has claimed his second consecutive French Open title, defeating Italy’s Jannik Sinner in an intense five-set battle.

Alcaraz, 22, won with scores of 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2) in a match that lasted five hours and 29 minutes, making it the longest final in French Open history.

This victory marks Alcaraz’s fifth Grand Slam title so far. His achievements include:

  • Wimbledon titles: 2023, 2024
  • French Open titles: 2024, 2025
  • US Open title: 2022
