Home Minister Aryal Inspects Children’s Correctional Home in Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur, Dec 21: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal inspected the Children’s Correctional Home in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, on Wednesday and reviewed the condition and facilities of juveniles housed there.
During the inspection, Minister Aryal observed education arrangements, classrooms, food services, daily living conditions, sports facilities, library services and accommodation. He also interacted with correctional officers and took note of their concerns.
Officials informed the minister about challenges related to keeping individuals above the age of 18 in juvenile correctional institutions. Minister Aryal said the government would take necessary initiatives to address the issue.
On the same day, Minister Aryal also met Himalaya Gautam, the designer of the ‘Nishan stamp’ of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Visiting Gautam’s residence in Imadol, he inquired about his health condition and met with his family.
